Despite many who advised me not to waste my time on this place, I was hell bent on going, so go I did.

My available time for clubbing (daytime) is really horrible in terms of dancer quantity, so I always look for that one dancer out of maybe 3 or 4 that will make my visit worthwhile. It sorta happened here.

I rolled in to Godfather's in the late afternoon. Guy at the door eyed me suspiciously when I asked how many dancers were inside, but I'm used to that. Three girls working. There is a $10 daytime cover which surprised me. Except for DVNH I usually get in for free. No matter. In I went.

Place is SMALL. There was a cute young latina standing at the bar, along side a heavyset woman in streetclothes that I prayed wasn't another dancer. Nope - turns out she's the bartender. Phew. Got a cup of van Nuys finest water and sat down in an empty club. I felt like if I stretched out both arms I could touch the opposite walls...it has to be the tiniest club that I have ever been to in LA. Eventually an older white dancer takes the stage, pretty much just for me. I sit at her stage, but I'm eying the hot young latina that is still standing at the bar. Eventually the older dancer sits with me and we chat. She's not my type at all. The third dancer working takes the stage - a young very thick latina. I tip her & she thanks me. The dancer I'm sitting with notices me eying the girl at the bar and tells me that that girl's english is no bueno. Hmmmmm. Eventually the older dancer hits me up for a dance and I politely decline. She wanders off and finally young hottie comes over. I use my limited spanish to make her swoon & get her in the back for some dances, which were OK but nothing special. Without a test drive I sprang for the 7/$100 special, which wasn't the worst thing I could have done, but you pays yer money & you takes yer chances. At least the songs were not clipped, which was a nice surprise. The older dancer was standing near the exit area (which is where the single unisex bathroom is), which was where I was heading. She again tried to sell me a dance, but I just thanked her and gave her a tip for the time that she sat with me. She gave me a hug and I left.
