Came in late on a Friday...

Came in late on a Friday night after checking out a couple other clubs in the french quarter. Paid a $10 cover, was immediately impressed by the environment. Surveyed the situation and grabbed a seat near (but not at) the larger of the two stages. I have to say, I was quite impressed with the setting. Comfortable chairs (although a little short to comfortably sit back in), loads of TVs in all directions screening sports highlights, and numerous mirrors in all directions. The last is a pleasant surprise, because although it's no secret we're there to look, craning your neck to check out the gorgeous dancer that caught the corner of your eye seems a bit, well, ungentlemanly. Another nice touch are the numerous men (5-6 if I recall), well dressed in dark suits and wearing earpieces, that appear to act as security/managers keeping an eye out and straightening out chairs and the like.

Was approached rather quickly by a waitress and offered a drink. I declined, and was then informed of the 1 drink minimum (not surprised, but it would have been nice to hear this at the door). Paid the standard $8 for a bud light, and sat back. The talent here was quite good. The girls looked had a highly polished 'pornstar' look, with the vast majority having significant augmentation, with great results. As I watched the dancers on stage, I was quickly approached by a few girls. Most were offering $120 private dances and some were offering $60 lapdances 'upstairs', with full contact. After politely passing on the first few, I was approached by one very attractive girl offering a $20 dance. I accepted, and got a pretty impressive dance on the floor of the club, with minimal contact (the occasional brush), but I didn't try to push my luck or anything. For $20, it was quite the show and I was fairly impressed, although the milage was corresponding.

Finally, as the club appeared to start clearing out, I was approached by a girl who offered the $60 dance, and given that she had a great smile, and well, other great attributes, I accepted. The dance itself happened upstairs in a large, open area with several couches where a few other patrons were getting lapdances. "Full contact" was as advertised, but again I didn't push my luck much, but was happy with the mileage. The only turn-off was that in the time between agreeing to a dance and going upstairs, as I went to the ATM to take out some cash, she was approached by a couple. Not only did she take all of us upstairs at once (which I found a bit annoying), she made me wait about 10 minutes while she negotiated them. I can't blame her, as they were likely looking to spend much more than the $60 I had offered, but it wasn't exactly what I was hoping for.
