Cheetahs had closed down this week...

Cheetahs had closed down this week for "remodeling" for a couple days, which seemed sort of odd since they'd just totally redone the place a year or two ago, so I stopped in to check it out. Also, I had just gone to the new EyeCandy Showgirls, and wanted to view some women that were actually attractive before ending my night.

Anyway, nothing really changed with the "remodel", other than repainting some of the striping in the parking lot. For details on the club layout and amenities, see my previous reviews. I asked a dancer what had changed, and said that they hadn't really done anything - the remodel was just a cover while they shut down for a couple days to deal with the increased attention they've been getting from the vice squad. Apparently, a lot of girls had been getting ticketed.

Dances are still the same - all dances are clothed (bikini), there's $20 single-song air dances, $100/5 song VIP where you can get a decent grind and pretty dirty with the right girl (extreme YMMV), and the "ice boxes", which are supposedly private VIP rooms. The FAQ on the website says ice box dances are $50 for the room for an hour and then $20 a song, but dancers on a couple different occasions have quoted the price to me as $350/half hour, which basically works out to the same thing. A dancer I talked to on this occasion said that there's really no reason to go in the ice box, the dance isn't going to get any better than what you'll get in the VIP; the only benefit is the "privacy", and even the presence of that is debatable. The privacy is sort of a benefit over the regular VIP area, which is just a hall with rows of open booths on either side, so you can easily see three guys across the hall from you getting dances, and they can see you. The ice boxes are out in the main floor of the club, and are closed off by beaded curtains. If anyone walks by, and pretty much EVERYONE does at some point, they'll easily be able to see what's going on there. So, basically just get over yourself, get 3 regular VIP room dances and you'll save $50 and get the same thing.
