Stopped by Rhode Island Dolls on...

Stopped by Rhode Island Dolls on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty slow when I got there. The waitress came over quickly after I was seated, and I was pleased that she remembered my drink order from previous visits.

There was a group at a VIP table, who kept coming up to the stage, and taking care of the dancers. At times, it seemed the dancers were so focused on those guys and the girl with them that they missed other patrons seated at the opposite side of the stage. Nevertheless, once that group had returned to their booth, gone outside for a smoke, or downstairs for a private dance, the dancers were very attentive to those gathered stage-side.

Several of the dancers came over and chatted with me at my table. Some cut to the chase pretty quickly, and got to the question of whether or not I wanted to go downstairs for a private dance pretty quickly. Another spent much more time sitting with me, whispering compliments in my ear, and eventually trying to entice me to join her downstairs. She'd managed to get me to buy her a drink shortly before it was time for her to change prior to her three song set on stage. But, by then it was time for me to leave and get home.
