I had business in New York but I stayed in NJ. I decided to take a drive and check out the Showplace. There are a lot of good reviews posted that give a pretty good description of the layout. You sit around a bar with a dancer in the middle. It definitely isn't the place to go to sit and watch a dancer working the pole. The girls rotate around the bar and it doesn't take long until you are propositioned to go to the back. I actually wanted to stick around for awhile to check out all of the talent but a fine Brazilian grabbed my arm and escorted me to the lapdance area. The room was very dark. You pay upfront and there is a timer. I thought about paying for two or three dances upfront but I figured I'd try one to see how it went first. It went much better than expected and I was out of there with a big smile on my face after just one dance. The upside was I left very pleased but the downside was I drove about 25 minutes for 5 minutes of good fun without really seeing any of the other girls. However, I doubt any of them would have topped the one I had. Next time I'm back in NJ I will give it another shot.
