The sign outside advertised "classic Go-Go"....
The sign outside advertised "classic Go-Go". I gues that's about as accurate description as any. There is a u-shaped bar that dominates the front room. There were what looked like old diner booths down one side of the bar if you are there for lunch and wan to eat comfortably. There was a seperate room in the back with a couple of pool tables and the rest rooms. There were 3 dancers in the early afternoon in the middle of the week. All were in the 6-8 range. None required beer goggles to enjoy. There was perhaps a little more ink than suits my personal taste. Sometimes I wonder if these girls understand the term permanent. Sorry... I digress. The dancers come out and dance initially on a small stage inside the bar. After a couple of songs, they then come around the top of the bar soliciting tips. Both on stage and on the bar, the dancers get a little loose with their outfits. Kinda nice getting up-close on the bar. They must be well practiced. I didn't see one drink get accidently kicked over on the bar. Then they move on to the next lucky customer. But that's pretty much it. 15 seconds of conversation. No real contact. No couch/lap dances. Just "classic go-go". There is a kitchen and they do put on a decent sandwich. Beer prices were reasonable. Without private dances and such, you can get a good show and still walk out with more than a few bucks in your wallet. Some times that's just enough to adjust my attitude for the rest of the day.
