Landing strip is on my way...

Landing strip is on my way to the airport so I usually stop there on my way to return my rental car before heading home. Valet parking is mandatory, but there is nearby street parking. Up a flight of stairs to the bar, no cover during the day; I think the cover is $10 at night. I sat where I wanted, but I noticed that some were taxed to sit at a booth.

Prices for drinks and food are standard for Detroit area clubs. I had a good thick juicy burger and fries cooked just right. My favorite part: private dances are downstairs in a private area, with no additional tax. Dancers are a reasonable mix, with enough young and hot ones to keep your interest even during the day. Definitely YMMV on the private dances. About 50% offer extras, so getting to know your partner and clarifying your expectations before going to the LD area is a must. But I’ve never had a “bad” experience in the LD area.

Stage tipping is never expected and you may wait a while before being approached for a dance. I don’t know if that is different during the evening. Dancers are decent with conversation. Ask if you want company, or if they can join you, rather than “wanna dance?” With some, you’ll get to know more about their lives than you wanted, but then you can always say, “How about a private dance.” This is one of my favorites in the area and I always plan to return when I’m in the neighborhood.
