I have never been to a "club" quite as sad or as irritating as this. Sunday night had a somewhat bigger crowd than I expected or remembered. But, it couldn't have been due to any draw from the women working at this establishment. In basic terms, these girls were terrible and did not appear to understand that you can make a great deal more money by even acting energetic or enthusiastic. 80% of the dancers appeared to be grieving some tragic event, completely oblivious to being on stage with badly chosen music blaring just a bit too loud for this tiny room. One of the final performers of the night had called it a day prematurely and was clearly super high on her opiate of choice. She could barely walk/shuffle back and forth from the pole to her weird "safe" spot, staring in the mirror at herself.
My girlfriend and I were out looking for some fun or even mildly interesting entertainment on this occasion. There was only one out of the six to eight performers who seemed at all interested in doing their job or making any money from us or any other patrons. The only other tips given appeared to be very small and motivated by pity and maybe a hope to get these depressing "ladies" off of the stage. Overall, I would have to report that this club's claims of being "couples friendly" are baseless. Most of the girls seemed somehow bothered by the prospect of performing for the two of us. We are both on the above average side of the "attractive" scale and carrying plenty of cash but, super cool and completely down to have fun. So, I have to assume the underlying influence and social culture of the employees at american bush in salt lake has shifted to the quite negative and downright sad side of things. Can't imagine being convinced to return after such a disappointing and unfortunate evening. Sorry to say, as I've had alot of fun here in the past but, this place sucks.
