Halloween Meh
Got there around 7ish. There's a convenient lot to park in but quite a bit of it was traffic-coned off to reserve spots for valet parking, which meant hiking from a farther section. Five dollar cover, you walk in to a tub of icing beers and a beer girl. The place was done up for Halloween as were most of the staff. Hard to tell if there was a shift-change, per se, but there did seem to be an outflux and an influx going on at the same time, and the outflux seemed more attractive, somewhat surprisingly. I would expect the night shift to have more A-listers, but at least this night it didn't seem to be so. Looked to be 7s and 8s headed out and 6s and 7s headed in, on average, Latinas well represented in both groups.
Anyway, the place, for those who haven't read one of the many previous reviews: it's a huge downstairs, probably 50' X 50', with a big, pole-less stage up front, and then six stations comprised of four little rectangles with with 8 stools around each, and two little platforms of maybe 4' X 4' with a pole, around which each girl circulates, post-main stage, stopping for two songs (heavy on the country and western) at each. Behind the stage is another room with a conventional linear bar, and maybe 20-30 upholstered chairs for private dances, generally $20 per, but the more attractive ones seem to try to hustle it to 3 for $100. In the middle of the room is a rectangular bar with the bartenders in the middle, ringed with maybe thirty bar stools. On the main stage, usually the girl starts with a top, however skimpy, ditched between the first and second songs, and then proceeding around the rest of the stations with it off. There's a second level with another smaller rectangular bar, some little private cubbies for VIPs, and club chairs for
There was a buffet of chafing dishes of burgers, corn dogs, etc. a plate of which can be usefully employed to fend off unwelcome solicitations, of which there were a few. But not from waitresses. Getting a beer proved not quick. Eventually I flagged down a waitress. Her first day, she said. Maybe that's why it took 15 minutes of waiting to get a Corona in a not all that crowded bar. (First day staff hazing?) Got a two dollar bill as part of my change which I gave right back to her, as I suppose is the point. (I'm not a Dallas local, but I'm there often enough to suspect that using a $2 bill around town is pretty dead give away of what you've been up to.)
Nursed my beer while watching the parade go 'round. Got hit up by a sexy little blonde spinner, probably a 9, the sexiest one I saw working, but just didn't feel it and took a pass. Shrug.
Finished my beer and headed out. Better than a night of channel surfing in a hotel room. I've seen better and I've seen worse.
