Came out to South Beach a day before the Ultra festival started so I could hang out with some friends of mine that came down for New York. My close buddy wanted to check it out and being the gracious host that I was (plus my morbid curiosity), I said what the hell, let's do it. Big mistake. $20 cover which already had my eyebrows raising, but like I said, my curiosity got the better of me. Once you enter in, definitely a medium-sized area, I would probably say a little bit smaller than Scarlett's (though Scarlett's is off-the-chain with how they have their place set up). Not that many dancers were in the club at the time but we definitely did not have a lack of attention.

First girl that came by was super nice but I wasn't appealed enough by her to take her for a dance. She was nice enough to make some conversation with us and explained how the dances worked. Its $25 per dance and dancers can charge more as they see fit if you want to touch them (usually an extra $20). She talked with us a little more and then went off. It was fairly annoying how so many girls wouldn't even make an effort to try and get a dance with you. They would all just walk up to you hold their hand out and beckon you like a lost puppy. I tried to talk to some of them, but most of them pulled away so quickly when they figured you weren't interested in a dance. It's a hustler's haven over here. I managed to learn that the hard way with a slim Latina girl that came my way. She talked a good game and I got intrigued so I took her up on her offer. Paid the $25 up front to a guy at a counter and she started out OK. She kept goading me on to touch her in order to make me pay extra. Originally asked for $40 and I didn't budge at all. Finally got her down to $20 and I thought "What the hell?" and gave it to her. I got to feel her up for about 2-3 min and she started spewing for the private rooms which were like $250 for half an hour. I immediately thought hell no and said no thanks. She immediately stopped the dance and just walked away. I was hella pissed at this bitch but it was my first time there so I didn't want to start any problems. Went and waited for my friend who found another girl that he liked and got some generous stick-shifting from her (I think he paid $60 in total for her) while I waited on him to finish up.

Definitely a tourist trap down here for South Beach newbies. Definitely don't try it out if you're a local, TONS of better clubs out there that are well worth the time and money to go to them (Tootsies and Scarlett's, most definitely).
