I went to this club about...

I went to this club about a month ago, on a weekday, and I was so disappointed in it (especially compared to the previous visit I had made) that I wanted to put some distance between the visit and the review before I wrote about it.

I was in Springfield for business, and having sampled the Springfield clubs without being overly impressed, I remembered having gone to Club Illusions right before they closed on another occasion and thinking it had a lot of potential. So I made the drive (about 1/2 hour from the hotels at the north end of Springfield to the club) to Nixa and arrived about 10:55 pm.

It cost $18 to get in, which included a plastic cup that I could use to get in cheaper in the future and which I could use to drink out of for free. (The club is alcohol-free, by the way.) I thought that was steep, but not unheard of. However, I never saw anyone behind the bar to give out drinks, there are no waitresses, and I never saw anyone else drinking, either, so the cup was a real waste.
