I'm in town on vacation and...

I'm in town on vacation and stopped in to Rachel's on Friday night. I had stopped by in the afternoon and enjoyed the club, although the girls were all focused on their regulars, but it seemed promising enough to come back. I asked the floor host how much a cab would cost to and from the convention center and he told me $15 - $20 depending on the traffic. Turned out to be $30 each way. Such is life.

I went to have a good dinner and a good drunken evening, so the cab ride was worth it. The club has a dining room on one side which looks great and the club is on the other. I chose to eat on the other side. The meal was fantastic. The best lobster bisque I've ever had with CHUNKS of lobster. The Filet was outstanding. The side of pasta was okay. I asked for lightly seasoned and it was buried. The only downside to the meal.

At the start of the evening the service was great. By the end of the evening I hadn't seen my waitress for 45 minutes and had to go find her to cash out my tab. I was waiting so long I had time to sober up, which means my plans for a drunken extravaganza was a fail.
