Sam's has been around forever in the same place and the effect is not quite retro so much as a nostalgic dive bar. Lots of red lighting and a huge central stage. Although the sign on the outside says 'topless' because of the six-foot-rule on liquor licenses only the very center of the stage is legal for the girls to be topless so you mostly have bikini dancers on stage and nothing but bikini lapdances, which are given against one wall and completely in the open to other customers only a couple of feet away, zero privacy. No cover charge and three dollar beer specials (brand depending on the day of the week). Food is fairly pricey (burgers for $9) The atmosphere was lively and the dancers were attractive and had pretty good moves. But all in all there are better places for privacy/mileage and better places for drinks and dancers (the nearby Dames 'n Games for example).
