Simply put, Coliseum is the best...

Simply put, Coliseum is the best strip club in the Detroit area. A sister club to Flight Club (much closer to DTW) - Coliseum is on 8 Mile Road. Valet parking is mandatory as well as coat check. Cover was $10 on a Saturday evening. Came in around 9 PM on Saturday and the club was relatively empty (about 30 patrons). The main floor is huge - probably one of the largest outside of Vegas. A long stage with two poles dominated the center of the room, ringed by chairs and two levels of booths. Dancers start on one of the two poles and move down but as the evening gets busier, they throw a third dancer in the middle of the stage and dancers rotate to a number of satellite stages around the bottom level. Booths are $20 tips to the bouncers - there are also two bars with plenty of seating. Private and free VIP rooms are in the back of the club as well as above the main entrance. There are fewer rooms above the main entrance but they are larger and more private (although all of the booths in the club have curtains). Dances are supposed to be more expensive (usually $25, a dancer told me $35 in the upper level VIP area) in the upper level but that rule varies depending on the dancer. YMMV in terms of extras but prices are reasonable and given enough time, you can find someone that has a full menu open.

As I mentioned, the club was fairly empty around 8 PM but you turn around for one second and by 11 PM, you can't get a seat and hundreds of people are on the main floor and it starts to get crazy. By 11 PM on the Saturday I went, it was a stereotypical strip club experience - tons of dancers, a bunch of drunk guys (and girls) making it rain and throwing money around.

The quality of the dancers range from 6-to-9s and you see all types. The dances I got were with very attractive girls that had good conversational skills but like all clubs, you see different type.
