Roxy's, like the other clubs, has...
Roxy's, like the other clubs, has seen a serious decline in patronage over the last four years. The place can get downright quiet even on a Saturday night from 1-4. They've clearly had a hard time getting new dancers, and those that have remained have had to change the way they do their jobs. (Back when it was easy for them to get private dances or lots of cash while on stage, they'd pick and choose their customers a little differently. Now they're much more business-minded.) Anyway, Roxy's has got a mix of 20-something and 30-something women, then a couple few women who are *way* too old to attract me... but, you know, maybe they've got their regulars, so whatever. I received good treatment there. The bartenders, waitresses, DJ and staff are all civil, competent, and it's easy to chat with the dancers for a while before paying them off or paying for a private. Some will pressure you pretty hard for money, privates, or VIPs. I don't see a VIP as worth it, so I can't speak to that. If you're in there to drop $100, you can get a lot of attention for an hour. If you're in there to drop more than $200, you can get attention for a couple hours. If you just want to sit at the stages and put up a couple dollars at a time while drinking your drink, you can do that, too. In fact, the place would probably be more fun if a large number of people came in to do just that. The shower shows and the stage dancing are simply not as fun when there are too few people in the place.
