I went to Hollywood Show Club...
I went to Hollywood Show Club twice on the weekend before Mardi Gras. I went solo on Friday around 10pm and again on Saturday with a buddy around 8pm. In retrospect, the bars of Soulard gave me better action and eye candy for a fraction of the price. This club was the #4 overall best club on The Ultimate Strip Club List in mid-2011. Now, it is down to #28.
Friday: The club was packed and finding a table or seat was difficult. I met up with Pearl on Stage 1 and started heavy-tipping. She spent most of her three-song set performing for me, and my stack of Washington’s was severely depleted. I made it pretty clear that she was my type, but she ended up heading for the back with a two-dollar tipper. You would think she would have taken the hint, but then again, rationality goes out the window when dealing with strippers. Next, I headed over to Stage 3 to see a stripper I had not seen in a long time, Rider. Apparently, she had a baby not too long ago. She did not remove her tank top because of this. The recent pregnancy made her boobs humungous. Other than those two entertainers, the line-up was not very enticing. I dozed off for fifteen minutes on one of the couches, and then went home.
Saturday: I rolled in with a rolling buddy for a change of pace after spending the day drinking and watching the parade and festivities. Immediately, a pair of ugly strippers sat down with us. The waitress came around and asked if we wanted to buy the dancers a drink. Knowing what was going on, I declined, but my friend ended up buying the dancer closest to him a drink. Obviously, she does not order a $7 beer, but some kind of expensive mixed drink. When he found out it was $15, he blew a gasket and was reluctant to pay. The dancer gulped it down and another waitress was soon back at the table. She asked if he wanted to buy the dancer another drink. This time he said, “Hell no!†A dancer can never refuse a drink bought by a customer, even if she is not thirsty. The drink hustle is just another method used by the club to pad their own pockets. It seems a lot of the better-looking dancers took the night off and were at the Mardi Gras festivities themselves. The entertainers on duty were subpar, even for a down-trending Hollywood. A few of the females we were presented with: a Snicker licker in a full mesh suit, a 44 year old whom cigarettes were not kind too, and a bulimic dancer. We decided to split.
