King of Diamonds used to be...

King of Diamonds used to be one of my favorite clubs, but for whatever reason, I hadn't stopped in for a couple of years. Was in the area Monday and decided to stop in on a whim. Physically, the place hasn't changed much. One main stage that they keep a parade of dancers going through. The stage show is usually pretty good if you can get a seat with a good view. There's a lower bar and an upper bar on opposite sides of the stage, although the entire upper section was closed the day I was there. If you're there at the right time of day, drinks are very inexpensive, which is good, but it also means the place is packed with people, many of whom are just there to drink. My one complaint about the place is that I was there for over 30 minutes without one girl stopping by to offer me a dance. Maybe that's the culture there now? Girls only stop if you specifically call them over maybe? Seems odd for a strip club, especially when the place can't possibly be making much on the cheap drinks.
