So, after visiting a club in Windsor and being completely cut off from any touching, we decided we want to do some touching. So we headed over to Atlantis. This club is in Lincoln Park, MI which is basically a small stop off in the urban jungle that surrounds Detroit. The neighborhood did not strike me as a place for the faint of heart but for a fairly large guy like me, there were no issues.

The club building is old and unkempt on the outside. It appears that a minimum amount of concern is placed on the clubs external appearance. Given the neighborhood, it is not an illogical policy. When we opened the door, we were in a small hallway that had trash on the floor and was badly in need of a paint job. We followed the short distance to a second door which was the club entrance. We paid cover before being allowed in and directed to the “bar” where we purchased a mandatory non-alcoholic beverage.

The bar itself is a large room dominated by a big stage on the inside wall. The stage is surrounded on all sides by chairs and a tip rail. The rest of the club is made up on chairs and small tables on either end of the stage and 3 VIP booths on the outside wall. Restrooms flank the stage on either side and the DJ booth is opposite the bar next to the doors into the back. The back area has a private dance room to the left and a hallway leading to the dressing room on the right. Bouncers are positioned at the front door and at either path in the back area. The dance room has some simple seating and a very very large fan which the dancers turn on and off.
