Thought I would stop by after a Mardi Gras parade downtown. Cover was $10. The club was dead. Only one dancer working the floor, and she was chatting with another customer. The DJ finally cajoled her up on stage to perform three clumsy, uninspired sets. A second dancer arrived just as I was getting ready to leave. What a charmer! Sat down next to me and proceeded to play with her phone for 20 minutes. Had all the conversational skills of your average grilled-cheese sandwich. Don't waste your money at either of the clubs on Galveston Island, try your luck up north!
