After reading this place up on...

After reading this place up on the google and yelp (4 stars on yelp!!), I decided to make my monday lunch a little bit more exciting. My experience with SC has been small town, 1 AM, go along that type of thing. I really don't find the need of SC with my office filled with interns that want to stay on after internship. Since moving to DFW though, office scenery changed quite a bit, and lunch time are not as interesting anymore. I was a bit surprised when the review for Lodge show up while searching on yelp for a place to eat but what a great idea! Filling stomach and eye candy quota simultaneously.

The Lodge is located off northwest highway where seems like all the SC and motels in Dallas congregrate. It is behind a restaurant and you have to look for the neon sign to find it from northwest highway. (the neon sign was broken kinda like a roach motel and made me hesitate a bit) The hunger for booze and boobs win. I pulled into parking lot around 1 pm. There were 3 guys valet parking. (no face tatto, gangster look) The cover was 10 bucks (I thought it was 5 from the review). Once inside the place does have wood all over the place and animal heads as well. There are tables and arm chairs all over the room with a center stage (no pool) that has a cave like back wall that ladies come out of. There are few people in there as expected on Monday noon. The music is loud enough that you cant hear what the guys 2 table down was talking about. The food is legit, and tasted like mid tier restaurant (TGIF like). The total bill for food and drink was about 15 bucks for me, which again is about what TGIF would cost.

Now on to my second reason for being here. The entertainers! Knowing that it is Monday noon and the weather is not the greatest, I had low expectation about the outward appearance of the entertainers. I was there mainly for lunch anyway. I was not completely right. The ladies here are decent looking and no scars. There is not many pressure from the staff and the dancers to sell anything. It feels more like a trip to Benihana, where you enjoy the dinner and the show. It is actually pretty relaxing and enjoyable lunch. However, due to this Benihana atmoshpere, my wood is not as woody as this place the entire time. I will give the Monday noon dancers 8 for look and 6 for effort. The SC I went before are pretty much all white dancers. Here there are mix of unknown, black and white. In that order.
