In the interest of expanding my SC horizons, I made it a point to visit this club. I would like to have another option in the East Eight Mile area, and the mixed reviews I've read here had me curious about making Tycoons a regular destination for my relaxation stops!
I got there about 6:15 on a Friday night, thinking I would get the best experience they offered and be able to see the day time and night time talent. Things started off promising enough - the building looks nice from the outside and the $6 valet was welcoming and quick to get me out of my car. I went in and had a seat at the bar and ordered a glass of wine from a very cute and friendly bartender. The club decor was nice. It kind of had a retro feel - lots of red and brass with a long single stage up the middle and lots of seating all around with a good view from everywhere. From there, I'm sad to say the evening went down hill.
First my cute bartender poured my wine for me from a little plastic bottle like you buy at the grocery store to cook with, and then charged me something like ten bucks for it. Are these people crazy? Anyone who orders red wine in a strip club ain't going to appreciate a plastic mini-bottle of Sutter's Home. I can't believe management would think that's a good idea, so they must not have been thinking at all.
