Hard to top the Tropics for value and fun!
Out of all the strip clubs I've been to Parkway Tropics is easily my favorite. It's not the best in any traditional sense (there are places with more attractive dancers, better private rooms, better food, better drinks, better seating, better lighting and so on), but there just isn't another place where you can walk in, grab an easy drink and watch a number of attractive, talented women perform without feeling like the club itself is trying to suck every dollar out of you.
I get it: You go to a strip club concerned about money, you probably shouldn't be going. But there's something to be said for a place where every single hand isn't asking for $$ before you've even had a chance to watch a dance.
What's more the dancers get to keep what they make, they generally seem more relaxed, more casual in conversation and for the most part seem happy to be there (almost every girl I've talked to says it's the best place she's worked). Variety of girls - not as much by race/ethnicity as some places - with regards to age, music, dance style, etc.
Last Tuesday I showed up at around 10:30 - was told the time before that every dance will be there by 11 - ordered a cocktail and settled in at a table just past the first row. One of the dancers I've had private dances and spoken with before came by to catch up. After watching a few dances, talking over the latest developments in the exotic dancer world of GR and ordering drinks, we headed back for a few private dances at $20. No jealousy from her as she informed me that one of my favorites would be showing up at 11, knowing that's where most of my money would be going the rest of the night. Tipped her for the information, bought her another drink and settled in to watch a few more stage dances. Again, for the location and the look of the club, the dancers are very talented. A couple of newer girls put on skillful pole displays, an incredible twerk display by another, a more mature dancer with a sensual, slow style...just something for everyone. At 11:15 (late!), my wallet emptier showed up, smiled at me and headed back to get dressed. She showed up 15 minutes later, sat down and didn't waste any time asking me if I was ready to head back. I cannot tell you how much of a diamond in the rough we're talking about. She belongs in Miami, Atlanta, SoCal...but somehow here in GR! Beautiful, incredible curves (in a world of increasingly fake asses, hers is basically perfect). She did inform me dances were now $25 (maybe my only complaint, only a few years back it was $10! Inflation really hitting everyone these days), which for her is well worth it. From there, the rest of my night was spent in the private area in the back, spending well over $500 for the best non-nude dances one can receive.
Can't recommend the Tropics enough if you're just looking for drinks, dances and a low-key good time with some hidden talent.
