CL is a strip club, not...

CL is a strip club, not a "gentlemen's club." It's the anti-Treasures: grimy, a bit shady, and rough around the edges. If you show up dressing too well the girls and waitresses may think you're a cop. Once they see you drinking and tipping, though, those fears are put to rest. In some sense it feels like a neighborhood bar (especially if you're sitting at the bar towards the front away from the stripping). It is totally unpretentious. And that is precisely why it is my favorite strip club in Houston.

Free parking can be had in a dimly lit, pockmarked parking lot and it's almost difficult to see the building at night even though it fronts the feeder to Hwy 59. The fee for Thursday night was oddly set at $13.50. A regular bottled beer costs $6, and they actually have a pretty good selection as far as strip clubs go. Definitely more than the standard Bud / Miller /Coors. On the night I went virtually all of the dancers and patrons were Hispanic, but there was at least one Filipina dancing, as well. She has the fattest rear in the club. The girls here are like the girls anywhere else. There is a wide variance in attractiveness and friendliness, but I found most to be fairly agreeable on both counts. I settled in with one young lady from a relatively wealthy South American country who is all natural and really attractive.

We headed to the back for dances which are $20 each. Other options, including the VIP rooms at the front of the club, were suggested, but pricing was unfortunately non-negotiable. I think the quoted "house fee" for the room was $150 / 30 mins not including the fee for dances and her time. Not sure what the standard fee set is here, but it sounded high and I declined. Otherwise it is entirely possible to visit CL, have a great time with excellent dances and not spend a bunch of money. Highly recommended if you like Latinas and good lap dances.
