Atmosphere - If you're a fan...
Atmosphere - If you're a fan of hip hop and more 'latin' music, this is definitely your spot. I am relatively indifferent to it but didn't mind the music at all. The DJ was doing a pretty good job mixing songs, although I would have to admit the songs were running a bit short (more on that later). The lighting is not bad, although it runs a little on the darker side compared to a club like Gallaghers. At the same time, the club itself looks a bit nicer and less "run-down" inside, even though it might just be the darker lighting hiding the faults.
Dancers - Mostly Latinas and African Americans. Some Eastern European sprinkled in, but not much. There were some dancers that are easily 8.5-9's here, but then there's also some on the lower end of the spectrum. Naturally, the ones on the lower-end are the ones approaching you more. I did not really try as hard as I should have to get the attention of some of the hotter girls, and as it got busier in the night it got harder to do that. The girls aren't pushy per se, but you can definitely feel the vibe that they're there for business only, and at the end of the day you will probably only get legitimate conversation and time with them (without explicitly paying for it) if you're a regular/know them well. It might also help to go earlier.
Lap dances - Every girl I spoke to about this said you can basically touch as much as you want. If you're not touching their tits, they'll take your hands and basically do it for you. This is good, especially in an NYC based venue. The problem is, at least at the time I went, it cost $40 to get into the lap dance area, which includes the first dance. The girls were good about starting at a new song, and weren't ripping you off, but to be honest the songs didn't last more than 1-2 minutes each, MAYBE 3 minutes if you were lucky. This is the downside to the fact that the DJ was doing a "good" job mixing. At the end of the day I'd rather they just had a jukebox with full length or even radio edit versions (3-4 minutes) of songs like some other clubs do. This was a huge downside, along with the $40 entry fee to the lap dance area. It discouraged me from partaking in more dances, as it would be a lot of money invested for a very short period of fun (even though the touching and everything was good).
