Hello all, the Club Warrior has been back at it this weekend. Last night I visited Minx Show Place. Sorry to say I was not impressed. Well lets go through the highlights. The cover is $15, with a nice large sign on the door which directed you to tip or you would be removed. The staff did not seem very friendly. It was not that they were mean just the attitude they could care less about the job, or if you as a client were happy. The lighting was ok and the back drop to the stage is a very nice looking fish tank. No alcohol is served so you have to bring your own. The music was better than average for the age bracket of the clientele. Don't know why but it irritates me when the clients are 30-60 and the overall theme of the clubs music is gangster. I tipped every dancer on stage but only one found it necessary to actually say thank you. Some were attractive but almost none appeared to be enjoying them selves. Most all evening were not on stage when they needed to be and were needed to be called multiple times. But when they did arrive the outfits were rather nice and appropriate. Three nice tall poles on two stages but all evening not one pole trick, just this lackadaisical stroll around the pole for the length of the song. The dances were broken up into two areas. The regular $25 per dance a song then their VIP area which cost you an extra $25 to get into. Why? I did both just to find out. The VIP area is not a nice comfortable chair but a small bed. Even though the dancer get nude on stage during dances they can not remove anything but the top during dances. Honestly in my mind save your money and stay with the regular area the VIP area just is not worth it. While I am on the down side, the club all evening, on a Friday night they had Not One Special, maybe this is why the club was slow on a Friday evening. On the up side the club had one of the best men's bathrooms I have seen in a long time.

So in conclusion, visit one of the other clubs in Des Moines over this place. I really was not impressed with this place.
