So I'm in Tampa for the week and figured I'd visit the Mons but when I saw the girls all sitting outside smoking kinda like sitting on a porch, I decided to make a U turn and try the 2001 instead. It was about 4pm and as soon as I walked in I noticed the entrance had been totally redone. The doorgirl, a very young and pretty girl with glasses charged me $15, put a wristband on me and directed me to a cooler on the other side of the door where I had to select a drink. The alcohol-less drinks are $6ea but if you want a Red Bull that is an additional $2. I was the only one in the club, and I do mean the only one. No other patrons, no girls, no one. The DJ left his booth and came over to talk and greet me. He was quite nice and friendly which I thought was unusual cause most DJs I know are arrogant assholes. Then a dancer finally comes out and immediately offers lap dances. I turned her down cause I felt awkward being the only one there but I later regretted it cause she was really really cute. I think her name was "Jewel." Did I mention she was really cute? Anyway, manager gave me some free passes to come back later and I did. Also, I found out that the wristband gets you into the lapdance area without having to pay a $5 admission. I returned at about midnight, presented my pink get in free card and had to buy another soft drink. This time there were plenty of fellow customers and girls on stage and the floor. I was attacked, yes attacked, by a very aggressive dancer. She was severely overtanned and said she was Italian and when I turned her down in the Italian I learned from my father, she did not take my "no" very well. The next dancer that approached me was a much sweeter girl that was loaded with the most interesting tattoos. I decided to do the 3 songs for $60 with her and she was fantastic. She gave me a full tour of her body including the piercing in places where they really hurt, if you know what I mean. There is a glass wall in the dance area where I could see the rest of the club, not sure if they could see us too. When we were done she gave me a mini tour of the club including the upstairs spaceship. If I remember correctly, they now have a champagne room for $400, the spaceship for $200 and a separate area where you can actually have alcohol for $200. I believe she mentioned they created that for the republicans that were in town. Overall, I had a great time both in the afternoon and the evening.
