After a night out drinking in NYC I wasn't quite ready to head back to the hotel so I sought out Rick's on a side street quite near to Madison Square Garden. Upon entry I was greeted by a very friendly coat check girl who explained their cover is essentially a mandatory coat check. On this sunday night it was $10.00- not too bad but I'm uncertain if this is true of all nights. After entering I was greeted by a nice and clean club. One main stage was active as well as an auxiliary pole encircled by 2 or 3 girls. Both the bar and the seated areas were quite comfortable. Since it was very quiet the night I was there, I was able to bounce around quite a bit between various spots in the room and found all to have great views and comfortable chairs. There also appeared to be a very quiet and classy VIP area upstairs though I opted not to pay the rather significant price of admission (my dancer of choice told me it would be $200-$300 to go up.) Though the few guys I saw come back down seemed perfectly happy to have gone up. Drinks were a fairly usual high price $9.00 or so for cocktails. The bar tender was quite helpful when I gave him a decent tip after the first drink and kept me filled up on both alcohol and all importantly water for the rest of the night.

I haven't been to any other clubs in NYC but I have to imagine that for the price Rick's has to be very high on anyones list. Almost all of the dozen or so dancers on that night ranged from pretty to gorgeous. Within a pretty short time after entering I had several come up and start chatting and had some pretty mild lap dances from a few of them, these were low contact topless dances in public. But the ladies were pretty so thats really all you need. I moved myself to the bar after this and ordered a drink. Within a few minutes a beautiful dancer came up and sat next to me and struck up conversation. We literally talked for probably an hour which was a surprise. She was quite engaging and intelligent. There was a brief mid-conversation pause when she had to go and dance on stage - I didn't complain as I got a bit of a preview of what was to come. She came right back afterwards and we moved to one of the chairs in a back corner of the room. She proceeded to give me one of the best non-private dances I've ever had. Topless but not bottomless she was a master of teasing what lies beneath her vibrant yellow thong without actually revealing anything. I would highly recommend this club to anyone in NYC and specifically in the midtown area. Easy to spend a lot of money but all in all the girls seemed well worth the price.
