One of my most memorable if not the BEST Detroit club experience! I travel little over 2 hours to enjoy Detroit's clubs when there on business or just when I feel the need to enjoy the entertainment The Motor City has to offer.. After reading recent reviews of The Coliseum I decided to venture farther east and check it out. I normally stick to Dearborn and Inkster but reviews have not been good there lately. I went to Coliseum maybe once 6, 7 or 8 years ago. Here goes.........
Typical forced valet when pulling in, and once inside the front door, you know you aren't in a dive, but a beautiful Gentleman's club... No cover since it was late afternoon.I walk past the "football Jock" wanna be and sit at the bar to scope out the club before I payout any money for a booth or other. I see a large central stage with 3 different women on, strutting their stuff... I order a Martini ($16.00) and it comes in a rock glass....wtf (I will overlook this)? I then see some smokers, and when smoking was allowed in clubs us non smokers had to grin and bear it, but now, when it is against the law, it does P__S me off. Wasn't overwhelming so I decided to tip the "bruiser" with the tight shirt and get a booth......smart move!
A waitress quickly comes to the table and brings a great menu. I feel like I am in a 4 or 5 star restaurant with the menu offerings, and settle on a shrimp cocktail, and a filet, served with salad, wonderfully prepared garlic mashed potatoes and fancy green beans. THE FOOD WAS WONDERFUL!!!!! No complaints and worth every $1.00. A couple girls came by prior to meal being served but told them I was waiting for my meal and one in particular, who I had seen on stage and was on top of my list, came by and said she would be back......thank god!
