I was in the area recently and made a couple of stops at Cheaters during the week. Weekdays can be very hit or miss here, crowded one day and nearly empty the next. Even when it seems dead, it does tend to liven up a bit around 11PM, so if you are looking for a bit of a crowd try later in the evening. Cover ($6), drink prices (less than $5 for a beer) and the cost of a dance ($20) are all what I remember from previous visits. One night when there were only a few other customers, the door man recognized me and let me in for free. There's still the same friendly, neighborhood-bar feel to the place that I like.

Over the past year I've noticed a downward trend on the quality of dancers, but that seems to have stopped, or at least stabilized. Some of the more attractive dancers who usually only work weekends are making appearances on weekdays, although usually not until later in the evening. They are probably working extra to pay off holiday bills. None of the dancers are overly pushy when hustling dances, and will take a "no" without too much drama. Tipping at the one stage will get you lots of attention, but I like to hang out with a girl and chat for awhile before getting a dance. The bar near the pool table is good for this, as the girls either hang out there or hit it first when working the room. The dance room is open with couches lining the walls. Not private, but unless it's crowded you don't feel like you are on top of others. I've never had a dancer here that wouldn't allow touching on anything not covered, and I've very rarely had a bad dance here. Don't expect extras, but do expect a high-contact sensual dance during which your hands can roam.

I had over a dozen dances in the course of three nights, and the highlight was a local Oriental girl who wasn't much of a conversationalist, but had a fantastic, lean spinner body and she really knows how to move it on top of you, and maintain eye contact with you during a dance. I had dances from many other girls, but I ended every evening with her.
