Wanted to wander outside of my...
Wanted to wander outside of my comfort zone again so I decided to drive down 8 mile and stop at Tycoons. I have read mixed reviews of this club on this site and others so I had an idea of what I would get myself into. This club is considerably smaller than the other 2 clubs it sits in between (coliseum and players) and has a small parking lot. As you pull in you are given the option to valet, or park in the lot behind the club, both options you have to pay for, don't understand how I have to pay to park my car in the grocery store parking lot behind the club but ok. I decided to do the valet since the neighborhood looked a little sketchy at night. Made my way into the club and paid the $10 cover. It was fairly empty for 10pm but I found an empty table next to the stage. I sat down and ordered a beer $7 and tried to enjoy the show.
As I looked around the club I immediately noticed that the crowd was rowdy and a little thuggish. It didn't bother me much since I am not here for the crowd so I wanted to check out the talent and see what I can find. And this place is rough on the eyes. Usually no matter what club I go to I can find at least 1 girl that I would want to see more of but not this time. Most of the dancers were white (which i like) but were all over the hill and should not be dancing anywhere. I finished my beer and decided it was time for me to leave.
The exterior of the building looked inviting and even though the club is small it still had a nice appeal to it. However the crowd and lack of good talent might have made this a one time trip for me. Maybe there is a different feel and better talent on days, so I may come back one afternoon but I am not counting on it.
