I can confirm that this club...

I can confirm that this club is now closed for renovations. The previous owner sold the club to the owner of Mardi Gras in Springfield, MA. after getting the liquor license suspended (you can read about the liquor license suspension here: http://goo.gl/kEoP3)

I don't have any information on when the club will reopen, but after talking with several displaced dancers that are now working at Mario's, it seems they will be closed for several weeks. I'm sure the new owner will have to make all kinds of promises to the ABCC and the town of Oxford just to get the place open again.

When I had visited the club a few days before during the day, the place was absolutely dead, and the dancers did not seem in the highest of spirits... which makes me wonder if they knew of the impending closure.
