I decided to see what Southern X-posure was like first hand even though the limited things I had heard about it were all negative. I was disappointed to see that they have done nothing to update the building from the old Sapphires club. Same crappy layout, same worn out tables and dirty chairs. I thought at a minimum they could have gave it a fresh coat of paint or scrubbed up the bathroom or something.

As you enter the club you have to be buzzed in after you pay your cover. I don't mind this setup if they have a doorman, but they were grossly understaffed to were the DJ had to work the door, be the bouncer for the private dances, and play music. I didn't have to wait long to get in but I saw one guy that waited through more than one whole song before anyone got over there to let him in. The bartender was new, I think I was told it was his second day. He did okay at getting simple drinks and counting back change, but couldn't do much more than that and really had no idea how to work the credit card machine.

The redeeming part of the club was the girls. Not one that shouldn't be dancing, some eights and nines. One really hot redhead that had my jaw on the floor. I was told they were having a hard time getting girls and some of them were from the other club in Huntington, so they won't be there all the time. The lap dances were fairly priced, 3 songs for $50, but one way and no nudity. The VIP was overpriced and no millage. The hot redhead was all about up-selling the whole time, which is a turn off once you had spent the money to be in the back.
