Beware of CC Scam

We (grand total of 3 of us) went to a few places last night. The night ended at the well known Club USA, and while this was not my first visit there, it was my first visit in a couple years (see my 2010 review). The layout has not changed, the talent while it was turned over is still respectable, the drink prices are typical for a strip club if you stick to beers and well quality spirits. But what has changed, and changed a great deal are the drink prices in the margins and hustle on the part of the mamma-san.

For those unfamiliar with strip clubs on Guam the way it normally works is a girl will come sit next to you within a few moments of sitting down, unless she grabs you by the arm as you walk in, and after a short chat/introduction (about 60 seconds at USA, longer in the better clubs) mamma-san or the stripper will hit you up to buy the girl a drink. The normal going price is $20 for a lady drink, the bar gets some, the girl gets some and mamma gets some. Then, after a while (about once a song at USA) they hit you up for another drink, some places are higher pressure than others. Club USA is the worst for this. If you buy drinks, the girl will sit with you all night excepting her turn on the stage, if you turn down drinks they ask about a private dance, if you turn that down the mamma-san gives you the bum rush and hustles the girl off to work the room.
