This was one of the first...
This was one of the first clubs I worked at in NYC. It was a little dingy and sad. Lots of very pretty women, but many of them look like they are so bored/miserable, they are about ready to die. (In their defense, I know for a fact, at least 2 of them were there against their will and had really, really scary pimps. I knew something was up, when I was there but was a little too naive to figure it out at the time. So messed up. Anyway, to change the subject, I think the reason that the energy levels were so low with the ladies is the fact that it is a major, major tourist destination due to it's prime location. It's one of the few clubs where I've worked at where you don't need to develop regulars to make consistent money. Dancers can just be sweet for a few minutes, book the dance and get the cash, then give a terrible dance and treat you like trash and not worry about it because she knows you are going back to Ohio or whatever, the next day. And the next day, there will be a whole new batch of suckers! (Just joking!) It's been 2 years since I've been there. At the time my biggest issue was the smell. I worked there for a summer and there was NO ventilation in this place. It smelled like B.O., pussy and mildew covered by 5 million gallons of cotton candy body spray. (There was this time period where every stripper I knew wore cotton candy or birthday cake body sprays. There is nothing I hate more.) This is a bad review. It's expensive. Cover charge is 20, I think, plus you have to buy 2 drinks which adds up to about 60 all together. There was one manager who tried to convince customers they had to buy the drinks and buy at least one dance on top of that, if you stayed for more than a certain amount of time. If I were a dude, I would not like hanging out here. Lots of super creepy guys lurking around. Especially during the day. Lots of tall, leggy, beautiful, bored ladies. Just low energy. But what do I know? Some people love the place. The nights can be lively. During the day, there were lots of creepers with money, who came in alone and were weird. At night, there were more groups of people, who were loud and rowdy and really grabby and had less money. I couldn't ever decide which was better/worse. The mileage was pretty high, while I was there. I have a girlfriend who says it's much worse there. During a $20 dance guys would try to finger me and take their dicks out. Really? Anyway, there were a lot of ladies who were willing to work HARD for those twenties!
