I've reviewed this club a few...

I've reviewed this club a few times and it seems like they go from one extreme to the other. The last time I was here I was quite impressed by the recent renovations to the VIP room and had a nice time with several dancers here. This time around, I'm afraid they are backsliding again. I didn't even make it to the VIP room. I guess that going to a strip club on a weeknight can be a crapshoot. You never really know what kind of quality you can expect.

Unfortunately for me, on this particular visit the club was dead. I got there sometime around 8:30 in the evening and stayed for an hour. I believe the night shift at most clubs starts at either 7:00 or 8:00, so I figured at least there would be some ladies there. When I arrived, I only saw two dancers, both occupied. And only three or four customers total. Needless to say, I found myself sitting alone. I took slow sips of my drink so as to kill some time, but to be honest it just felt weird sitting in a mostly empty strip club with nobody on stage. The bouncer in the front entrance of the club was blaring Fox News at high volume, competing with the stage music. My distaste for that channel aside, I was more put off by the fact that any television at a strip club should be muted with closed captions running. And if you must have a TV running, tune it to a sporting event or a music video channel. Having a TV in the corner compete with the club's sound system shows a complete lack of class.

Over the next hour a few other dancers trickled in, dressed in their street clothes and making their way to the dressing room. At least one of the dancers working that night had no business working at a strip club, being much older and overweight. The last thing you want if you are running a strip club is to become a place that a customer might refer to as "seedy". And sadly, the Flamingo Club is starting to head down the path of being a seedy joint.
