I resisted going to DC clubs...

I resisted going to DC clubs because I thought the "no lap dance" rule would be too much of a detriment. While that certainly is an irritating factor when you meet a girl who catches your proverbial fancy, the Camelot Club is well worth a visit.

The club has two different levels, the bottom floor is more like a restaurant (and is better lit) and the upper level is more like a traditional club. The girls get up and do 3-4 songs (the smart ones get nude as soon as possible to start collecting bills) then usually go around and "work the crowd" for everyone who watched to get a little bit more. A handshake is all you can really hope for. (One chap the night I went tried to convince a girl to sit on his lap after she'd been dancing and she declined politely -- it was kind of funny to watch.)

I have not sampled the food yet, but it's supposed to be great. (The drinks are of course over-priced but there's no cover, so it's mostly forgivable.)
