I'm not a big fan of the Mardi Gras II, I therefore only visit once or twice a year (despite that it is arguably the closest strip joint to my home).

Here's what I've found. You will find a "girl next door" type dancer whom you'll find attractive. You will get just enough of a lap dance to peak your interest and string you along. You will get upsold into the VIP room - where there is no added benefit. Just more expensive, albeit simpler math. Something like $100+ for 15 minutes instead of something like $20 a song.

I've never really left happy, just poorer.
