Femme Nu is a long standing club near the Convention Center with a reputation for being among the best in the city. It has a parking lot that usually offers an available space for a couple bucks, and there is also a large pay lot almost next door. The club is entered through the back where the parking lot is located, and is a dimly lit but presentable establishment of this type. I wouldn't call it clean, largely because of things like stained chairs that have had drinks spilled on them in the past and were not replaced. Cover charge varies depending on time of day but is not excessive and includes a drink. The music is from a dj programmed jukebox, and is not great, but gives the performers something to dance to. Sometimes the dj plays the music way too loud, which pisses off the dancers and the customers. Drink prices are average, as they clearly want to make their money from the talent. Crowds can be an issue one weekends, when there is a lot of competition to sit with just the right woman. On most nights, traffic does not really pick up until 10pm, and similarly, the stages may not have a full compliment of dancers until after that time.

If you want to get the most personal experience with a dancer at a club in Honolulu, this is the best place I have found. The selection and quality of performers changes regularly, so any one visit may not represent what the club has to offer. Many of the dancers seem to travel, so there is turnover, which can be a good thing as there are always fresh faces and new bodies. Some nights there are too many dancers to choose from (assuming your wallet isn't bottomless), and other nights only one or two of interest; it all depends on your tastes.

The women here will bare it all, up close, and sometimes even get touchy as long as you don't forget the rules - they can get away with touching you, but don't touch them. Some of the women pull their garters all too quickly, and some put very little effort into their performance, so watch until you find the right ones to spend time with, and don't be afraid to excuse yourself and find someone else if you aren't getting a good show. Some of the dancers really earn their pay, put on a great stage show, or give exceptional private dances. Getting your money's worth can depend a lot on the woman, so spend some stage time with one that you like, and if it goes well, try a private dance. Private dances are $25 per song, and VIP room time is like $200 per half hour plus tips for the house and dancer. VIP room rules seem to vary, but lap dances are not permitted so keep that in mind. Private and VIP dances are best enjoyed sparingly since the club takes such a huge cut and time goes by quickly, so these prices can be prohibitive.
