Working an afternoon in Apache Junction and decided to try Desert Flame at about 4:00 on a Thursday afternoon.

I did not expect much based on the location and outside appearance. I was impressed and surprised with the quality of the inside of the club. The entrance leads to a small bar area that is pretty nice, and looks like a neighborhood bar. Next to the bar area is a large room with the stage and tables. It was furnished with good quality and looked nice.

Unfortunately, this is not an afternoon SC. There were about 6 guys sitting at the bar, but only 2 other guys in the dance area, and one was the night bouncer. I only saw 4 girls working. The girls I saw we're OK but it was too empty for me.

I left when I finished my beer and went to Sonny's, which has good afternoon action with a lot of dancers.
