Stopped in late on a Saturday...

Stopped in late on a Saturday just before calling it a night. Guy at the corner gave me a card and said it would get me in free. I hit the ATM since I knew NYC prices would be higher than Atlanta. Guys at the door told me it would be $10 and 3 more for a mandatory coat check. Free only works til 11. One of the boys at the door walked me upstairs to the separate bar area to make sure I bought the mandatory drink. Paid $14 for a Corona. He insisted on walking me into the club, but I went to the restroom instead. I made my way into the second room where there were a fair number of dancers. Most were moderately attractive. I was really expecting one or two stunners, but I never saw one. The massage girl came over and asked if I wanted a massage. I wanted to show that I was ready to spend some money so said yes to the $20 a song massage and yes to the second one. Shortly after she left a cute but older Russian girl danced a few songs. Nice dance and closer than I expected. Things were looking up. A second more exotic Russian came over and after 3 dances told me that there was more touching allowed in the back. I asked how much and she said 3 songs (15 minutes) for $150, 30 min for 500 and an hour for a thousand.. wow.. I decided to try the 15 minute trip and that is when it started getting weird.

We walked to the guy tracking the VIP's and she said we needed to wait for the manager. I had money in hand but the guy would not take it. The same guy who walked me in appears and says $287 for 15 minutes.. I said that was not what the lady advertised.. they spoke for a moment and he said OK. we get to the curtained room and he wants to see my ID. I have now had the cash in hand for 7 minutes and was nearing the breaking point. I asked why he needed my ID if i am paying cash? He gave some excuse about needing it if something happened to the lady... I'm not small but I do not think I had a chance of getting past the bouncer at the VIP area, two on the floor and 3 at the door should "something happen to the lady". I asked what he was going to do with the ID and he confirmed that he was going to copy the information... Having seen many of the other reviews on the site and warnings of credit card issues.. it was time to leave. time spent in the club 30 minutes tops.. $14 for a beer I was afraid to drink and more hassle than I could tolerate.. stay home
