Years ago, Lollipops was my go-to...

Years ago, Lollipops was my go-to club, but that's only because I didn't know about the plethora of clubs available just a few miles down the road. Years ago, and I'm talking a decade or more, Lollipops was able to hire very attractive dancers. Something changed(management?) about 3 years ago, and Lollipops turned into a very low-rent club largely frequented by wannabe gangstas. It was not a fun club, and I only visited so I could see just how shockingly ghetto the place had become. Danger tourism, I suppose.

While on my return visit to the strip clubs of Pasco, I stopped in to Lollipops, as I heard things were better. I have to say, the absolute best thing about this club is the support staff. The bartender, Lyn, used to tend bar at Brass Flamingo, and she has always been excellent at her job. There is NO waiting for a drink when you sit at her bar, and she will serve you with a smile and possibly even a hug. The waitress who served me, a real cutie with a long braid, was attentive and friendly, well deserving of a big tip. And the manager, a former employee of BF named Brittany, seemed to be running a tight ship. The crowd was far less ghetto than I remembered.

Unfortunately, a strip club is ultimately about the strippers, and on this night THERE WERE NO STRIPPERS ONSTAGE. I sat in this club for an hour and I don't remember a steady procession of girls onstage or even strolling the floor. I do not know where they were, and I remember thinking it was odd. Perhaps they were short staffed and the girls were all working the private rooms?
