I don't often go to Philly...

I don't often go to Philly strip bars, but this one's proximity to the PHL airport made it a destination.

After leaving the Oasis Club, dissapointed, within a few minutes, I went for round two at Purple Orchid. It is on a busy intersection off Passyunk Ave in South Philly. The outside of the club looks like a small warehouse, painted purple, with the clubs title in big white letters on the front. The parking lot is very small in the front, with additional parking behind the building. In the nearby strip mall, there are is a Adult bookstore with a peep show, but I was not brave enough to venture there.

Walking inside the club, I was surprised how tight and compact the club was. When you first enter, there is a desk to the left where the manager sits and collects money from the dancers after each private dance. Then there is circular bar that takes up about the entire club. This is not like other clubs in the area like Delilah's or Club Risque where you have options to sit at a table. Here, the bar is the only seating arrangement. The bartender on duty on this early Friday afternoon was an older, possibly late 50's, serving up drinks, then sitting barside playing on her iPad. There were only about 3 patrons to keep happy, so she had a lot of time to herself. I did not buy any alcohol, but a bottled water cost me 3.50, nothing to really complain about.

There were 5 dancers on duty. They did their 2 songs, then would circulate the bar asking for tips, usually one for the top and one for the bottom. The dollar parade was not constant, just ladies trying to get their fare.

Unlike other clubs I have visited in Philly, this club is high mileage, and the dancers are not shy. Immediately after I took a sip of the water, there was a dancer grinding on my crotch barside, with a lot of HOP action. I seized the opportunity and went right for the $20 lap dance room. The room is behind a set of double doors, that very poorly hides the action that goes on behind it. Luckily it is dark enough in there to where people outside cannot see all the action. There are about 5 small couches in the room. The dancer, whom i cannot remember her name, got fully nude and delivered a very sensual dance for about 5 minutes, then collected the toll.
