I like this place for many...
I like this place for many reasons, but loathe it for several others. The soft drinks are ridiculously expensive. I bought a dancer a soda and it was $3.50. How much of a margin does mgmt need from soda to run this place? Then you don't get a refill - if one is spending money on their dance specials, you'd think one could get comped a free soda refill. Shit, how much does the soda syrup cost? Nickel and diming a customer for $3.50 each pop just means that the business runs a higher risk of not selling a more expensive service at a different time to some customers.
They even practice this model themselves. They promote 1/2 hour and 1 hour bungalows with a bottle of champagne (They sell the champagne for probably $100 and it costs them $10). What's a teaspoon of soda syrup matter when it could mean that the customer might feel grateful for the gesture of generosity. Thus, the customer may feel obligated to return the favor and buy that next couch dance or bungalow?
If drink prices are a matter of keeping up with the Jones in town. Start having a limo ride. Also turn down the music. It's extremely too loud. Whatever the rationale for this latter phenomenon is, it is ludicrous. The dancers can't sell a dance for your establishment if the customer can't hear them. Moreover, this loudness is not well designed. There's dead spots and super loud spots all over the place. There's a nightclub in SC called Lust; an outstanding acoustic redesign. BTW, the DJs usually do a good job with the music and sound. There is a GM that goes into the booth and monkeys with the system and that's when it explodes.
