I've been to this club many times in the evening, and have always been impressed with the talent, service, and atmosphere. So when my flight plans took me out for DTW midday, I decided to check out what the place was like during an afternoon visit. Mandatory valet parking was still in action, requiring a $10 investment on the way out. The club was, as expected, not crowded, but there was a decent number of customers hanging around the bar area, so that the place did not at all feel empty despite the mid-week timeframe. I saw about 10 dancers of 5-7 caliber, and made eye contact with a cute blonde on stage. After her set, I immediately said yes to her offer for a trip to the VIP. Bad idea...I should have spent some time with her before heading upstairs. 30 seconds into the song I came to realize that she had far more liquor in her than someone should have at 1:00 in the afternoon, and smelled like a brewery. Despite the offer for extras, I was out of there almost before the song was over.

I went back to the bar to regroup, when a slim fit lady stopped by and sat down. Learned that she was a fitness instructor and had the toned body to prove it. While I just felt like hanging out at this point she talked me into a trip upstairs, where she showed me what she referred to as the "Voyeur Room" located right above the stairs and behind a curtain of steel beads. Never knew this room existed, but had walked by it many times in previous visits. We hung it there for a while and even had the drink girl join us for a while until we moved to a VIP room where we enjoyed a great couple of songs and left very happy.

Overall the quality of talent mid-day/midweek was hit or miss as expected, but was pleased to find a gem. I'd definitely give the afternoon crowd another shot.
