Chez Joey is an example of the owners not seeing the forest for the trees. They've made a major effort to improve the bar's look; much cleaner, fancy entrance, much more attentive bartenders. THe back lap dance area is nicer as well, though still nothing all that fancy.

The basic structure, though, is still the same -- a long and very narrow bar, which is made more crowded bythe fact that against the wall, they've also placed 4 or 5 small round tables with chairs (sort of like a regular bar seating). It can get very cramped very quickly is busy.

Unfortunately, what has NOT happened is an accompanying increase in the qualilty of girls or lap dance experience. The club falls on the wrong side in two areas: the number of heavy, overweight dancers, and the number of old dancers (sorry, you really shouldn't be dancing after 30, except in a few cases -- and these aren't that few). There's also a sort of weird vibe among many,-- LOTS of smirks to other dancers when they are sitting with someone, for example.
