Stopped by Players after a disappointing...

Stopped by Players after a disappointing visit to the nearby Coliseum (talent on the evening shift was disappointing). The talent at Players was pretty decent for a Monday evening with probably a dozen dancers on shift, mostly in shape and the 6-8 range for looks. As others have noted, the club has a very nice interior although it is small. The lay out of the club is a bit strange with a bar in the middle that is surrounded by raised dance stages (4 I think) and some booth seating around the perimeter of the club. There was not a lot of room around the bar for browsing and talking so that made it a bit difficult for the dancers and patrons to circulate. Most of the dancers just sat at the bar talking to whoever was sitting next to them. Some of the dancers were "dance only" and others were willing to negotiate more fun in the VIP.

I arranged for a dance in the VIP area, a series of curtained cubicles that contained an overstuffed couch. The VIP did not have a separate charge as is typical for some of the Detroit clubs, a practice that discourages single dances to sample a dancer's skills. My only real complaint is that the club was smoky (both dancers and patrons).
