The Gold Club is located in...

The Gold Club is located in an alley in downtown Philadelphia, so it's convenient for those staying at a downtown hotel for business as I was. Picked up a free pass (normally $20) from a guy passing them out on the street hustling for tips (I have him a few bucks, so it worked out for me). Went in an the first thing I noticed is that this place is tiny. There is a small bar with 5-10 seats around it facing away from the stage, so not a great place to sit and have a drink while wathing the girls. They serve beer, wine and mixed drinks. I stuck with bottled beer, but don't recall how much is was. There are about 10-15 small tables that face the stage and some chairs around the perimiter as well. I sat at the bar and had a beer. After each girl got done dancing she would come over looking for a tip (one girl told me $2 was customary...I usually gave $3). I would say there were about 10 girls working, none were really knockouts, but they were OK. A few seemed to have attitudes and a few were very nice. Eventually a blonde girl came over and sat next to me and hustled me for a drink, which I bought for her. This girl was shit faced drunk, so it was actually kind of entertaining listening to her slur and try and make sense. The place seems to have a few different rooms for dances and I never did fully understand what dances cost how much and where. The drunk girl took me in a back room and gave me several dances (like 5-6) and then when I told her we should take a break and get another drink she charged me a total of $40. Seemed like a great deal for how long I was back there with her and the level of play that was allowed. Not sure about what goes down in the VIP room, so I can't really report on that. I will go back if for no other reason than it's convenient to walk to when I'm in town for business.
