The Gold Club is a pretty good club. i went on a Saturday night 1.5 weeks after Mardi Gras. The club is set up like a standard club. There is a main stage which has one dancer at a time, a satellite stage with one dancer at a time and a bar with one dancer at a time. The sets were 2-3 songs. The bar setup was a little weird as people were just sitting there ordering drinks and drinking as someone was dancing. In any case, the women were good looking with a good mix of short, tall big/small breasted etc. No one was particulary overweight, however. Dances were $20 for table $40 for private and $250 (I think) for a half hour. The dances I got on the floor were, quite frankly, not very good. However, this changed significantly in the private dances. There was a good amount of touching (both ways), and the dancers were very into grinding. Pretty good quality. The big problems were that the club was very crowded. Maybe there was still resdiual from Mardi Gras, and the dancers did not do to much to engage you. You had to initiate contact, which is OK for me usually, but here I felt overtly ignored. Once you start spending that changes in a hurry, but I guess that's true of all strip clubs. Overall a pretty good experience, especially if you get one of those cards people hand out on Bourbon St. that allows you to get in without a cover.
