After quite a long spell, I returned to the Bird, one of the famously high-mileage clubs in/near LA, and I was not disappointed. I'd been hearing that the quality of the dancers has improved, and I must say, it certainly has. Although I didn't get any dances from any new girls, it was clear that they had the goods, so to speak, and they were quite willing to put out in the VIP. I sat with a couple of girls for quite some time, and found them to be sweet, personable, friendly, and fun to talk to. Of course, they are there to earn money, so they do try to convince you to get a dance (single topless dances are $10, what a bargain) or VIP ($150 plus tip for about 20 minutes, pretty much the going rate in and around LA), but they were not too pushy or mercenary, so it was a nice experience.

I sat with Felicity, who is a real sweetie with a tight gorgeous bod and a Europeanly pretty face (she actually is European, too), but I didn't get a dance with her this time, and I hope she's not too mad about that. A tall, slim, older woman named Naomi sat with me for quite a bit, and I didn't get a dance with her either, so I hope she'll forgive me too. But I did get a VIP with Holly, a gorgeous lady-who-looks-like-a- kid with a killer body, and we had a lot of fun. She was willing, as they say, and she has a quick, dry sense of humor, which is just up my alley, so we had a great time together as in the past.

The annoying drink-for-the-lady sell pretty much stopped after four or five tries, because each time the waitress came over I gave her a firm No with a mildly annoyed look on my face (and I also smilingly explained to the girl I was with that I know she gets points when I buy her a drink, and I know she's required to get guys to buy her a certain number of drinks each shift, but I think it's a real ripoff that is not the norm in other clubs, and I'd rather save the cash for dances, so I won't have any of it), and I guess since I am known to some degree at this place as a spender (I get VIPs almost every time I come here), she got the message to stop wasting her time bothering me.
