Hilarious, irritating, weird,...

Hilarious, irritating, weird, was my journey from the airport to my motel in San Ysidro. Had to go from trolley to a bus, then back to a trolley. I think 10% of San Diego speaks english. So much for getting directions. Finally get to Travelodge (which I cannot recommend).

So my first two trips to Adelitas. Won't go over the positives. Many others have, and they're all correct. But an excursion to Ads is not an open and closed case. Important--don't drive. Insane mile long waits to come back. As well, if you have any health problems, arthritis in hips as I do, it will be a challenging walk just to get over the bridge to the other side. Some have said its a piece of cake, but it's been redesigned in the last month. Everyone is frustrated about it. Even tho I used taxi and tricycle,(a blast), I'm sore and have blisters. Coming back Sunday nite was almost a 3hr wait line.

It's a crazy town, but it's not dangerous, within reason. They want our money, and toward that end, they are hospitable and such. The language thing really is a problem. You can get by, but it's not easy. Especially so in the club. I do a lot of bullshitting, but it's sorta ineffective when both are trying to figure out what's being said.

I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the ladies. Maybe I was expecting too much. Too many 5's and 6's. Too many bolt ons. I think the facilities, especially upstairs, are very good. Yeah, lots of tips are asked for, but don't be a tightwad. If you can afford to come here, you should be able to spend a bit more, and will get better service. Everywhere. They appreciate even a small tip. I tried to tip a $5 taxi ride, and the cabbie refused it!!

Bottom line, for now, is, it's a great fun and satisfying club with a very few drawbacks. Might take a little experimenting to get it right. And no, you don't need a passport. But I wouldn't want to test that with only a drivers license. I took my birth cert, and they did question me a bit.
